At Alpenhotel Kitzbühel, the naturalness of the mountain scenery continues, impressing us even outside the hotel gates with its magnificent views of Wilder Kaiser and the Kitzbühel Alps.

Welcome to the natural paradise at Schwarzsee. The location at the natural moor lake alone shows the love and thinking for sustainability in our everyday being and doing. Only local woods were used in the construction. "Wood was used wherever possible. Be it as a structural building material, as a surface in the interior or as the untreated larch wood that dominates the new façades. Through weathering, its colour approaches more and more the colour of the forest over time," explains architect Sebastian Mitterer from the Firn Architekten team. "The buildings age gracefully and become more and more part of the natural environment."

Speaking of local, it should be noted that our cuisine focuses primarily on regional products from local farmers. E-cars and E-bikes are available to our guests for exploring Kitzbühel. There are also E-charging stations directly at the hotel.

Geothermal energy and biomass from wood chips, which are obtained from local forest resources, provide cosy warmth in the suites and pleasant bathing in the infinity pool, which is heated all year round. The nearest train station is only 500 m away, so the journey is also climate-friendly. Our "green" appearance is also ensured by the green roofs. For us, sustainable thinking for the unique nature comes first, no matter in which area.
