The Lake Schwarzsee introduces itself.
The Schwarzsee owes its name to the fact that it is a moor lake, and the water in it is often referred to as "blackwater." With an area of 16 hectares and a maximum depth of 7 meters, Schwarzsee is a relic from more than 10,000 years ago when it formed at the end of the last ice age. Since the 1890s, Schwarzsee has served as a popular bathing lake. The healing moor water of the lake has a soothing effect on all visitors and contributes to their well-being.

The unique circular hiking trail around the Schwarzsee is almost a landmark of the Gamsstadt and starts directly at the hotel. The nature trail meanders picturesquely along the lakeshore, through the nature reserve with a fantastic view of the lake and the surrounding mountain range. The idyllic circular hiking trail stretches over 2.5 km and you should allow about 45 minutes walking time for it. Here, you will find the perfect opportunity to recharge your batteries and treat your body to a dose of fresh lake air in every season.
